Hi there— we are the organisers of Women in AI Safety events.

We started with organising networking dinners in LISA offices in London. We, Nia Gardner and Monika Jotautaitė, had the idea to bring together the women professionals working in the field. The first event was a success, so we are continuing to organise events in London.

In the meantime, McKenna Fitzgerald, Julia Bossmann and Pooja Khatri created the Women in AI Alignment community based in the Bay Area. The community is now growing and we’re happy to announce the first event in Berkeley!

The two communities are now working together towards the same goal — improving gender diversity in the AI Safety field.
